Beattie staff get moving to a new beat

Wednesday, 29 March 2017

Beattie, the Creative Communications Group, has launched an office run club.

The firm – which enjoyed a record year in 2016 and recently landed a host of big name new clients – has established the Beattie Beats Run Club to help staff socialise while staying fit and healthy.

The club is open to all Beattie employees, regardless of fitness, and members meet once a week in office hours.

The first outing was a scenic 5k journey along the stunning Clyde Walkway and through the woods around nearby Bothwell Castle.

Club founder Kenny Angove said: “There are countless studies which show exercise helps employees stay happy, healthy and focused, boosts productivity and is just generally all round good for you. Doing it socially as a group is also fantastic for motivation and enjoyment.

“We are lucky enough to have one of the most beautiful river walkways in Scotland just minutes from our front door on the banks of the famous river Clyde, so what better way to enjoy it – and to take the odd selfie – than to go for a run with your colleagues.”

Beattie has nine offices in the UK including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.

It operates three headline brands, Beattie itself, student recruitment arm 11ten, and the Only series of specialist boutiques which includes Only Digital, Only Crisis, Only Retail and Only Health. Total billings for all brands is approaching £20m.
