Beattie To Invest £1Million Recruiting Additional Talent
Tuesday, 05 August 2014
PR, social media and digital marketing agency Beattie Communications is to invest £1million over the next six months recruiting additional external talent.
“Winning new clients is not difficult but finding talented people is much harder,” said group chairman Gordon Beattie.
“We have been very effective at growing our own talent in-house but with so many new business opportunities emerging across all our profit centres, it’s essential we recruit top talent outside of our agency.
“In the past two weeks we have made seven senior signings to strengthen our PR and web marketing teams.
“I am reluctant to talk names until people are on board but our signings include the head of PR for one of the world’s biggest sporting events, a highly experienced PR director who will work between London and our offices in the north of England and a trio internet marketing consultants.
“We are currently on the hunt for a senior web developer and we are actively looking for the right people to head up our Only Travel Marketing, Only Health Marketing and Only Retail businesses.
“We have one or two people in mind but we fully expect recruitment to become increasingly competitive as the economy improves. That’s why financial and benefits packages are so important. So too is the working environment and our ambitions for growth.
“Beattie Communications is a happy place to work and that’s underlined by the fact that we now have 16 people who have spent at least ten years with the agency.
“As far as growth is concerned, we are continuing to stride forward by launching new brands and new businesses.
“For instance, our student recruitment consultancy 11ten achieved a turnover in excess of £3 million over the last 12 months while fee income at our digital marking business, OnlyW3b rose by more than 20%.”
Beattie Communications has eight offices in the UK and a partner network spanning 40 countries. UK offices include London, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
