Beattie To Promote World’s First On-train Entertainment System
Beattie Communications has landed the PR contract to promote the world's first fully integrated individual on-train entertainment system.
Volo TV has developed the product currently being fitted to the First Great Western fleet from London to Penzance which is expected to be complete by November 2010.
A personal seat-back touch screen will allow passengers to select from a vast menu of comedy, drama, features and live RSS news feeds, for just £3.50 per journey or £1.50 an hour.
Marcus Noble, chief executive of Volo TV, says: 'This system has taken years in development to get it absolutely right. We are now in a position to revolutionise train travel and create, for the first time, 'entertainment class' for passengers.
'Beattie's tourism, transport and technology credentials, London HQ and nationwide network of offices, made them the number one choice for the brief.'
Laurna Woods, group managing director of Beattie Communications, says: 'Volo TV is set to revolutionise train travel. It's a fantastic brief to secure, so we are very excited to be launching the concept and communicating its successful rollout throughout 2010.'
Beattie Communications is headquartered in London with offices right across the UK, from Scotland to Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham. Beattie's clients include easyJet and the French Tourist Board.
