Jack Of All Trades Master Of None

Have you noticed there are more experts around than ever before!

The word expert was once used to describe an eminent authority in a particular subject.

Today every Tom, Dick or Harry calls himself an expert.

So many self-styled experts have feet of clay. They pontificate about everything but know nothing about anything.

The word pundit would, for many, be a more apt descriptor.

Franklin D Roosevelt summed it up nicely when he said there are as many opinions as there are experts.
