Wednesday, 02 October 2013
The city-centre based agency has supported its growing client roster with the addition of two newly created roles. Anna Wharton joins as account manager and Gaynor Orvis takes up the post of account executive.
Wharton brings with her a wealth of PR experience gained in agency and in-house PR roles in both London and Manchester. Orvis has been appointed following a six-month internship at the agency while completing her MSc in International Public Relations at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The appointments follow six new business wins for the rapidly expanding Manchester office which have included Moreton Hall Independent School, a membership organisation in the healthcare sector and Chimney Sheep.
Chimney Sheep is working with Beattie to launch its new draught excluder product to the consumer media. Shropshire-based Moreton Hall has appointed the agency to provide PR support as the school celebrates its centenary year.
The Manchester office has also experienced substantial growth across its corporate and B2B offer and is actively recruiting to fill two new posts within the team.
Lyndsey Evans, who heads up Beattie’s Manchester office, said: “We have been inundated with new business over the last three months and so are delighted to have added two highly capable PR professionals to our ranks. As we look towards another stage of planned growth, we are also looking to further strengthen our B2B and corporate team with additional positions at account manager and senior account manager level.”
Beattie Communications has an enviable client list that includes leading names like Specsavers, easyJet and Land Securities. Recent wins include the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Accessories for Gamers and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
