Beattie Communications Moves Into The Charity Sector

Thursday, 21 March 2013

Beattie Communications has launched a specialist marketing team to serve the charity sector.

With 162,000 registered charities in Britain, Beattie Communications’ chairman Gordon Beattie sees it as a growing market for the company.

He said: “Charities across the UK attract donations of nearly £60 billion each year. That money enables them to undertake amazing work that impacts millions of families at home and around the globe.

“Our goal is to help charities, both large and small, bring in additional donations so that they can do even more good in a world hit by unemployment and financial problems.

“We have been working in the charity sector for two decades but we felt it was time to establish a dedicated charity marketing team with a clearly defined focus.”

The charity communications and marketing team will operate as part of Beattie Group’s Only Marketing brand. Much of its focus will be on “new generation” fundraising techniques including:

  • Digital marketing
  • Social media marketing – especially Linkedin
  • Content marketing
  • Mobile marketing
  • Video marketing

Beattie added: “Many charities have outstanding in-house marketing teams, however, we feel we have something to bring to the party and we look forward to immersing ourselves in the charitable sector.”

Only Marketing has specialist teams serving the retail marketing, education marketing and property marketing sectors.
