Beattie Expands its Northern Team after successful 2016

Thursday, 16 March 2017

Beattie, the Creative Communications Group, has expanded its Northern team with two senior appointments to oversee its growing client portfolio.

Katie Griffiths joins as account director in Beattie’s Manchester office with more than nine years of PR and social media experience. After working at several key northern PR agencies for clients such as Aldi, Q Hotels and The Fine Bedding Company, Katie moved to Toronto where she freelanced for leading Canadian consumer brands. She will now work on Beattie clients such as Specsavers, Flybe and High Street TV.

Emma Regan joins as account manager in Leeds, returning to her Yorkshire roots after more than five years’ experience in consumer PR in London. She has worked with top fashion, beauty and lifestyle names such as George at Asda, JD Williams and Superdrug. For Beattie, she will work on household brands such as La Redoute and Nutribullet.

Rachel Gladwin, Beattie Communications’ Director, said: “The addition of Katie and Emma comes on the back of an extremely successful 2016 for Beattie. We achieved a six per cent rise in revenue which was particularly pleasing because 2016 was our 30th anniversary year. It was a year of achievement and progress for the Beattie Group. These talented appointments demonstrate our commitment to build on our outstanding results for clients and grow the agency still further.”

Pre-tax profit in the year grew six per cent to £624k. New clients in 2016 included retail chain Smiggle, food brand Dairy Crest, Discovery Channel, High Street TV and the Vue cinema chain.
