Visit England’s Head Of Comms Joins Beattie Communications

Sarah Long, head of corporate communications at VisitEngland, has joined Beattie Communications to lead Only Travel, its fast-growing travel PR, social and digital boutique.

News of her arrival coincides with the agency winning an international project from bus and train giant Arriva.

Part of Deutsche Bahn, Arriva is responsible for the group's regional passenger transport services outside Germany. It employs more than 55,000 people and delivers more than 2.2 billion passenger journeys across 14 European countries each year.

Sarah said: “Only Travel is emerging as a leading specialist provider of PR, social and digital marketing services.  I very much look forward to building on this momentum and helping the team work with many more travel and tourism brands in the UK and around the world.”

Sarah recently won the PRCA Best In-House Consumer Award for VisitEngland’s campaign “Holidays At Home Are GREAT”, which generated £300million in revenues and helped to inspire 4.5million trips.
