Beattie Beats Targets With New Business Wins

Tuesday, 23 March 2010

Thanks to a series of prestigious new account wins Beattie Communications Leeds is celebrating a 25 per cent increase in turnover.

The agency celebrated a successful start to the year by adding a hat-trick of new consumer and B2B clients to its books, winning accounts with the French Tourist Board, Wates and Land Securities.

Within the last month, the Leeds based property, regeneration and development team has also added projects with Emerald Biogas and Tesco to its books, handling all communications and stakeholder engagement strategies for forthcoming planning submissions.

The team has recruited Rebecca Mills as its new account executive to work on the Specsavers, Marks & Spencer and easyJet accounts and following this week's news that easyJet will increase the size of its consumer account with the agency, the twelve-strong team is now recruiting a new account manager and senior account executive.

Victoria Walker, Board Director at Beattie Communications, said: "The last few months have been incredible in terms of new business wins and we are expanding the team as a direct result.

"The Leeds team continues to go from strength to strength and successfully increased turnover by 25 per cent in 2009, a target we intend to beat this year. It was a challenging, recessionary year and most of the new business wins were due to client recommendations.

"The regeneration team has also successfully grown, handling specialist communications and consultation activity for developments such as new housing, retail and commercial schemes through to windfarms, energy from waste facilities and explosive stores."

Beattie Communications is the UK's largest independent PR agency with a network of eight offices across the UK including Leeds, Manchester, London and Glasgow.
