Beattie Bolsters Manchester With Consumer Lead

Beattie Communications has expanded its Manchester team, recruiting consumer PR expert, Lyndsey Evans, to lead its city centre based team.
An award-winning communications specialist, Evans has more than 14 years’ experience in delivering PR and marketing communications strategies for B2B, corporate and internal communications campaigns and offers a particular specialism in consumer PR.
Lyndsey joins the agency, which boasts a mix of B2B, public sector and consumer accounts, with a CV that spans client-side and agency positions. She has previously headed up PR teams at both Staniforth/TBWA and SASS Brand Communications, and has worked in-house for both Bentley Motors and Shop Direct Group.
At Shop Direct Group, Evans was responsible for brand PR across the company’s portfolio of online department stores, running campaigns to support very.co.uk’s The X Factor fashion sponsorship, launching over 50s fashion brand isme.com, generating national news headlines for woolworths.co.uk and maximising littlewoods.co.uk’s sponsorship of The Pride of Britain Awards.
The Beattie Manchester office works across some of the UK’s leading brands including easyjet, Morrisons and Specsavers, and Evans has had to hit the ground running with a campaign to manage the communications surrounding new client and e-tailer Appliances Online’s bid for Comet.
Evans will also be responsible for establishing a quartet of new clients wins, which include food manufacturer On the Menu, law firm Browne Jacobson, public sector procurement specialists LHC UK and a key NHS Partnership Trust. Her remit is to build the reputation and skills of the Manchester office both locally and nationally, as well as work alongside the agency’s eight UK offices to service and secure new business.
