Belly Dancing Delight For Cambridge Shoppers

Thursday, 13 May 2010

Shoppers at Cambridge's Grafton Centre are set to experience a taste of the Orient this week (Friday 14th May 11.00-1.00pm) as top belly dancers hit the Great Court and teach the city how to shake its thing!

A professional belly dancing troupe will encourage customers to try their hand at hip rolls and show them to how to 'shake it out' with authentic music and bejewelled hip scarves in a bid to bring a slice of Turkey to the region.

The session, hosted by the UK's largest and best value airline, easyJet, will mark the launch of two new routes from Stansted airport to the popular Turkish holiday destinations of Bodrum and Dalaman from 14th May with prices starting from just £69.99.*

Belly dancing lessons will commence at 11.30am and 12.30pm - when shoppers will receive their own authentic hip scarves to get into the vibe and jingle-jangle their way into the weekend.

Sophie Dekkers, easyJet's commercial manager, explains: "We're an airline that wants passengers to get the most out of their annual holiday and believe that the best way to introduce customers to a new destination is to bring a little bit of the country to the region.

"By treating shoppers to authentic belly dancing lessons to mark the launch of our new routes from Stansted to Bodrum and Dalaman, we will give them just a glimpse of what Turkey has to offer."

easyJet is also launching new routes to Croatia from 15th May, with flights to Split and Dubrovnik.  Fares start from as little as £29.99*

Sophie concludes: "With many travellers keen to escape the Eurozone this summer, these four new easyJet routes from Stansted offer the perfect solution for a low cost summer break."
