Burlesque Heats Up Snozone

Thursday, 11 February 2010

SNO!zone is heating things up in February with a burlesque night in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.

The burlesque night on 27th February will feature professional burlesque dancers strutting their stuff with a mix of glamour, striptease, stylish dance and risqué humour.

Also appearing to entertain the crowd will be Xquisit, a female duo performing old and new hits from a variety of music genres.

To raise further funds for the charity, SNO!zone will be hosting an auction with chances to win Lazerzone games and also a giveaway of five ladies and gents to be personal waiters for the night.

Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.   The charity has raised millions of pounds since 2007, but it requires further funding to buy much needed services that will aid soldiers recovery and to support other service charities.

Lisa Allan, SNO!zone brand and marketing manager, said: "Inspired by films like Moulin Rouge, burlesque is the perfect show; it's all about coming in to enjoy the beautiful costumes, eccentric antics and lots of glamorous fun."

"The night will be very entertaining for the audience with the glamorous show and the auction to win a half-naked male waiter for the night or a burlesque waitress for the men.

"We chose the Help for Heroes charity as so many individuals and their families in the area have been directly affected by injuries through military service. We hope that everyone will support us in helping this incredible charity."

Bryn Parry, Chief Executive Officer of Help for Heroes comments: 'When Emma and I decided to do our bit to help wounded servicemen in 2007 we had no idea so many people across the UK would decide to join us and together, create the Help for Heroes phenomenon. People have run, climbed, cycled, swum, parachuted, baked, in fact done just about anything honest and decent to raise money to support our blokes. The money raised, £37m to date, is all used to provide direct, practical support to those wounded in the service of our country. We have already spent £millions and we have a shopping list of future projects that will ensure they get the very best. We may not be able to prevent them from being hurt but we can certainly do our bit to help them get better.

SNO!zone's wonderful fundraising is great, the team should be congratulated and, on behalf of all those who the money will benefit, thanked. Well done all; Great effort!'

The tickets SNO!zone burlesque night are now on sale.  Seated tickets costs £10 per person and standing tickets are priced at £7.  The event takes place on 27th February at 8pm.
