Chalhoub Inc. And Ice-Watch Announce Partnership In The Middle East

Chalhoub Inc., one of the Chalhoub Group companies, expert in retailing, distribution and marketing of luxury brands in the Middle East, has announced today that they will be officially representing ICE-WATCH in the Middle East.

The initial three year agreement is based on the commitment of Chalhoub Inc. to develop Ice-Watch in the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq and Yemen.

Chalhoub Inc. will also look for partners in countries not yet open and will provide support to existing partners to develop the brand’s retail network and visibility.

Launched in 2007, Ice-Watch has seen phenomenal success selling over 12 million watches from more than 10,000 points of sale.

Today Ice-Watch enjoys a strong retail position worldwide and is among the leading names in “fashion watches” in the Travel Retail sector.

Due to the brand’s affordable price point, it is now Europe’s leader in the 50 - 99 Euros price point for watches. Ice-Watch is also in the top 20 for watches priced up to 250 Euros.

Ice-Watch’s concept, “Change. You can”, is supported by a strong identity, including bold colours, which allow wearers to alternate their watches to suit their individual look, mood and age. The range of styles can also adapt to the day’s activity, whether that’s work, sports, holidays or parties.

Ice-Watch has already signed cooperation agreements with global leading brands such as Pantone, Swarovski and BMW Motorsport. The license agreement with BMW Motorsport has recently been extended by three years.

Last week, the group behind Ice-Watch announced further growth with the acquisition of PATTON watches, a brand that offers luxury products at an affordable price (USD 1.000 to USD 2.500).

The development plan created by Chalhoub Inc. aims to quadruple the current turnover through retail sales and increased brand awareness.
