Close Motors Drive Campaign To Help Skff

Monday, 06 February 2012

CLOSE Motor Finance has donated £4,000 to Edinburgh’s Sick Kids Friends Foundation (SKFF).

The vehicle finance company raised the vital funds at a plush dinner reception to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its Scottish branch, based in Livingston.

A total of 140 generous staff attended the function at the Dunblane Hydro and took part in a special charity auction.

Items auctioned off included a golf day at Royal Troon, champagne and a number of signed football shirts.

Veronica Tague, Gael McNeil and Scott Anderson from the Livingston-based company attended a presentation at the Sick Kids hospital in Edinburgh and were praised for their efforts.

Scottish Branch Manager Phil Wilson said: “The Sick Kids Friends Foundation is a cause which is close to all of our hearts in the Scottish office.

“We are really pleased with the total we managed to raise at the meal. Everyone had a great night, and enjoyed the celebrations. It is comforting to know that the funds will go towards supporting the country’s sick children and aid them in their recovery.”

Will Guest, Corporate Fundraiser for Sick Kids Friends Foundation said: “I accepted the money with great honour from Close Motor Finance. They raised a fantastic amount and I am delighted with the auction results. I want to offer my sincere gratitude to each member of staff who bid so generously and those who donated the items for the lots.

“The money will go towards the continued support of the children’s hospital and the good work that it does.”
