Former Editor Joins Beattie

Charles McGhee, the former editor of The Herald, has joined Beattie Communications.

 

He will head the PR consultancy's public sector team in Scotland and his arrival co-incides with the launch of Beattie's new public sector website  - http://www.beattieps.com/

As well as editing The Herald, Charles was an award-winning editor of Glasgow's Evening Times and acted as consultant editor for the launch of the Sunday Herald. He is also a past president of the UK Society of Editors and a former member of Britain's press watchdog, the Press Complaints Commission.

                                                                       

Beattie's private sector clients include giants such as Marks & Spencer, Rolls-Royce, Specsavers Opticians, easyJet, Land Securities and GlaxoSmithKline.

 

Public sector clients in Scotland include Edinburgh Napier University, Cardonald College and the National Library of Scotland.
