Breakdancing sensation, George Sampson is set to take 'The Centre' stage at the forthcoming Christmas lights switch-on and spectacular fireworks display in Livingston.

The winner from popular TV show Britain's Got Talent 2008 will be the star attraction on Thursday 6th November, as he carries out special meet 'n' greet sessions followed by a number of energetic routines, including his famous show-stopping 'Singin' in the Rain' performance. Spectators are sure to be impressed by his acrobatic dance moves, including head spins, bodypopping and flips. George will then officially switch-on the Christmas lights to illuminate The Centre and its dazzling Christmas tree, followed by an impressive fireworks display.

Santa will join in the celebrations in a giant interactive walkthrough Christmas Pudding display inside Elements Square. Specially designed for The Centre, Santa will be in his new residence from 6pm reading from a giant story book. The pudding has a sensory area which once activated fills the air with scents of Christmas. The display also features several pop up characters.

Forth One Radio breakfast DJs Boogie and Arlene will be on stage from 4:15pm talking to a number of special guests and mixing it up with a range of popular music to get all the family in the Christmas spirit.

Jennifer Bruce, marketing manager at The Centre said: "We have planned an extra special event this year, designed to get everyone in a truly festive mood, whilst continuing the buzz from the launch of The Centre on October 16.

"We are thrilled to have TV star George Sampson attend and are sure that his impressive dance moves will be enjoyed by all.  Children can also look forward to meeting Santa, who will be positioned in an incredibly magical display."

Further entertainment will be provided throughout The Centre including performers from local youth theatre, Firefly Arts, who will bring some traditional festive fun to the mall with a variety of pantomime sketches. Plus shoppers will be encouraged to enter in to a prize draw to win a great range of gifts for all the family.
