Gva Secures Five Lettings Month

Monday, 26 September 2011

Deals to bring five thriving firms to prime business park space have been sealed by leading property consultant GVA.

The Office Team at Leeds-based GVA has worked with real estate specialists Frogmore Property to secure a 15 year lease with Handelsbanken to bring it to 6 Flemming Court in Glasshoughton, Castleford, Wakefield.

The Swedish bank has more than 100 branches in the UK. It has taken on the 1,650 sq ft property at Flemming Court to use it as a satellite office for clients to meet its bank managers.

Flemming Court provides high quality office units from 350 sq ft. Other businesses based at the development include Pyramid 8 Recruitment and bearings manufacturers Timken. The deal with Handelsbanken leaves the site with just two vacant units, 12a measures 750 sq ft and 12c measures 350 sq ft.  Both suites can be let separately or as one.

In separate deals, GVA attracted three businesses Laserprint Limited, SureCare Community Services (Scarborough) and insurance brokers Bluefin to Manor Court office complex at Scarborough Business Park.

The firms now occupy Units 17 and 4A respectively to join HSBC, Handelsbanken, Practical Network Solutions and NFU Mutual at the seaside town's only dedicated B1 business park.

The deals were secured for the business park's owners Gladman Development in partnership with joint agents PPH Commercial and Iain Simpson and Co.

Meanwhile, GVA has also let Unit 6 in Navigation Court at Calder Park in Wakefield to Boston Healthcare Ltd on a five year lease.

Dan Hodge, associate in GVA's Office Team, said: "Prime office space in Yorkshire's premier business parks remains an attractive proposition and such opportunities undoubtedly exist at these sites in Wakefield and Scarborough. GVA continues to work with partners to deliver good deals for both developers and businesses in this tough economic climate."

Commenting on the deal at Manor Court, Glenn Broadbent from Laserprint said: "This is an exciting opportunity, enabling us to grow the business in a far more attractive environment than the town centre. We are already recruiting new staff."

Tony Dainty of SureCare added: "We are delighted to join the growing number of businesses moving from Scarborough town centre out to the Business Park. This new purpose-built office accommodation certainly meets the needs of our company."
