Jewellery retailer set to dazzle at Bon Accord & St Nicholas
Wednesday, 28 November 2012
Aberdeen’s most shopped destination is bringing stylish jewellery brand Warren James to the city after the retailer signed a 10 year lease with the Bon Accord & St Nicholas Centre.
Opening early next year, the store will be leasing an 800 sq ft unit at a rent of £100,000 per annum at the centre owned by the Scottish Retail Property Limited Partnership (a joint venture between Land Securities and British Land).
Established in 1979 Warren James is now one of the UK’s largest independent jewellers which offers high quality, desirable jewellery at affordable prices.
Speaking on behalf of the Partnership, Katherine Armstead, senior portfolio manager for Scotland, said: “Warren James will prove to be a great addition to Bon Accord & St Nicholas and I am delighted to welcome them to the centre.
“This is another coup for Bon Accord & St Nicholas which has seen a stream of new lettings over the past few months, despite the tough economic climate. The addition of Warren James along with Currys PC World, Highland Chocolatier and Bibi’s Bakery reinforces the Partnership’s commitment to retail in Aberdeen.”
Currys PC World will be opening a new concept store at the centre in November, while luxury chocolate brand Highland Chocolatier and chic bakery Bibi’s have recently launched bespoke island units within Bon Accord & St Nicholas.
This builds on the arrival of leading food brands Yo! Sushi, Café Rogue, Di Maggio’s and Prêt a Manger which recently joined the centres’ new look food terrace, created as part of the recent £8 million refurbishment of Bon Accord & St Nicholas.
Bon Accord & St Nicholas is home to a number of stores unique to Aberdeen, including John Lewis, Swarovski, River Island, Karen Millen, Kurt Geiger, Lipsy, Body Shop, Hobbs and Jo Malone and Scotland’s largest Next.
Eric Young & Co represented the Scottish Retail Property Limited Partnership, Reith Lambert represented Warren James.

Warren James, Established in 1979 Warren James offers great jewellery - just like the brands - but at half the price. The first outlet became a busy destination for people from all over the area and its popularity soon spread. Word of mouth from customer to customer passed on how great the value offer was. To date Warren James has 117 outlets nationwide and has become one of the largest jewellers in the UK. Warren James success can be attributed to many things but not least the dedication and team spirit of all its staff who look after our customers and to this day keep the original vision and passion alive.
