Moda Living appoints UK Development Director
Friday, 08 July 2016
Moda Living, the developer and operator behind one of the UK’s largest regional Private Rented Sector (PRS) portfolios, has appointed Lee Savage as UK Development Director.
Savage - who has an accomplished career as a chartered surveyor with more than 27 years’ experience in UK Real Estate development and project delivery - joins as the company looks to aggressively expand its assets and development pipeline across the UK.
Prior to joining Moda Living, Savage was Group Development Director at Scarborough Group International. In this post he was responsible for projects such as Middlewood Locks in Salford and leading the group’s development projects in the North of England. He also held the role of Development Director within the regeneration company Urban Splash.
Savage will be responsible for leading the team as it develops numerous opportunities through to fruition in key cities such as Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds and London.
Tony Brooks, Director at Moda Living, commented: “The Moda team has a very fixed vision and that is to bring to market a best-in-class UK wide rental platform that offers a lifestyle choice not currently available outside of London. To do this we need a highly experienced team and Lee, whose experience in residential development including PRS as well as being a respected figurehead in the industry, will be a key part of team Moda.
“We have made yet another phenomenal senior level appointment who will work with us to realise Moda’s ambitions to become the UKs leading developer and operator rental brand.”
Savage continues: “I’m joining Moda at a pivotal point where the company is about to make that transition between its vision and reality.
“Angel Gardens in Manchester will prove to be a dynamic game-changer in terms of regional city centre renting and we have the same aspirations at Liverpool Waters, but these schemes are just the beginning. Our development pipeline is both ambitions and confident and I’m hugely excited to be onboard.”
Since the company’s formation in late 2014 it has established a PRS development pipeline comprising approximately 5,000 units located in prime city centre sites across the UK’s major regional cities with an end GDV of £1 billion.
