New Ms Simply Food Store Opens Its Doors Washington

Marks & Spencer today (7th June)  opened its brand new Simply Food store at The Galleries Retail Park in Washington creating over 50 new jobs for the area.

Store Manager, Graham Ayre, declared the 8,000 sq ft store open and invited customers to join the celebrations with a champagne reception and an in-store DJ from12pm -2pm during which shoppers had the opportunity to win a share of £1,000 worth of M&S Gift Cards.

Graham Ayre, said: "We're delighted to have opened our new Simply Food store on in The Galleries Retail Park today.

"The first day has been fantastic and initial response from local customers has been that they are impressed with the range of products on offer. It's great to have been so warmly welcomed to Washington."

Almost 4,000 food and drink products are available at the new store including ready meals, fresh produce, sandwiches, salads and snacks. Shoppers are also able to choose from a comprehensive selection of fine wines and champagne and the in-store bakery provides an array of breads, cakes and pastries freshly baked each day.

The newly opened store offers the popular Simply Fuller Longer and Bistro ranges, as well as an assortment of cards, gift wrap and freshly cut flowers.
