Why are brands obsessed about connecting with millennials?

They are not the generation with pounds in their pockets, so why are marketers so infatuated with 18 – 30 year olds?

Here are three reasons:

  1. Globally there are more millennials than any other audience.
  2. They understand brands better than any other group. They, of course, shun brands they don’t rate but amplify brands they love.
  3. They are the trend-setters. Where they go, the rest of us follow.

In a nutshell - it’s the power of youth and it has always been thus!
