The World Is Changing

Cities, not countries, will be the economic power houses of the future.

In 2013 the number of people living in towns and cities surpassed the number living in the country for the first time.

Every week 1.2million people leave rural communities around the world to head to the city.

And the pace of change from rural to urban will continue to pick up, not slow down.

McKinsey & Company predict that 440 cities worldwide will account for 60% of the world’s GDP growth.

I’ve never heard of many of the cities on their list but, for ambitious brands, these cities are the future.

Is your brand ready to grab the future with both hands, or will you continue to play it safe in familiar markets?
