The Beattie Communications business in Canada has grown by 40% over the last nine months.

And Beattie Tartan will end its first year of operations by declaring a small profit.

“We couldn’t have wished for a better start,” said Gordon Beattie, chairman of Beattie Group.

“We’re already gearing up to ensure year two is even more successful.”

With offices in Toronto, Calgary and Victoria, Beattie Tartan is heading for a turnover of $10m within three to five years.

Gordon Beattie continued: “Our business partner Deirdre Campbell leads a magnificent team in Canada and we’re constantly on the lookout for fresh talent.

“Right now we are looking to recruit a director into our booming Toronto office.

“Our integrated communications offering is one of the reasons we are doing so well in North America where firms have shown a real appetite for joined-up communications – PR, digital, social and creative.

“It was the Brexit vote that spurred us to open up in Canada and it certainly has been a wise and commercially advantageous decision.

“We are continuing to look at further expansion in both Canada and the United States.”

Beattie Tartan’s clients include Peter B Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria and Jordan Tourism Board.

Headquartered in London, Beattie Communications has UK offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
