BEATTIE LAUNCHES RISING STARS INITIATIVE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS

Wednesday, 14 March 2018

Beattie, the integrated communications agency, is offering higher education students the opportunity of work experience, a paid internship or a first job after graduating.

The agency, which has offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh, has launched its Beattie Rising Stars initiative to make it easy for students to get on the career ladder.

“We have created a special section on our website to make it easy for ambitious graduates to find opportunities to advance their careers,” said Emma Laye, Head of Talent and Development at Beattie.

“Over the next 12 months we will be offering work experience, paid internships and jobs to up to 30 higher education students.”

The Rising Stars section of the Beattie website features case studies, useful information and application forms.

The site also promotes the Beattie Bootcamp in Scotland where everyone goes for residential training.

This month, Philippa Usher-Somers became a full-time member of the Beattie team in Manchester after completing a six month internship.

Philippa said: “The culture of the company makes it easy to be successful. Everyone is so encouraging and there are lots of opportunities to stretch yourself and fulfil your ambitions. It’s a great place to work.”

Emma continued: “Philippa’s story is typical of so many rising stars within the Beattie team. Lots of higher education students come to us for work experience and never leave.

“They fit into our culture from day one and quickly rise through the company to take senior positions.

“Indeed, our CEO Laurna Woods joined Beattie Communications 22 years ago and is an inspiration to us all. At Beattie, we believe that anything is possible.”

Beattie Communications is part of Beattie Group whose brands include Beattie Tartan in Canada, student recruitment consultancy 11ten and Only Marketing
