BEATTIE OVER THE ‘MUMMYMOON’ WITH CREATIVE AWARD WIN
Friday, 07 April 2017
Beattie, the creative communications group, has picked up a prestigious creative award at the annual Hotel Marketing Awards, hosted by the Hotel Marketing Association (HMA).
Beattie, which operates nine offices throughout the UK, wowed the HMA judges scooping ‘Most Creative Activity by a Marketing or PR Agency’ for the innovative ‘Mummymoon’ campaign on behalf of hotel management client Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH).
Recognising that new mums get very little sleep, Beattie devised a Mummymoon package to appeal directly to new mums. The carefully crafted hotel stay offered rest and relaxation away from crying babies, snoring partners and never ending household duties.
The campaign was rolled out in hotels throughout RBH’s portfolio of more than 50 UK properties.
Mummymoon not only captured the public’s imagination and genuinely provided new mums with an ultimate pampering experience, it was also underpinned by health and wellbeing commentary from sleep experts.
Beattie’s Director for Scotland, Joanne Spence, said: “We are incredibly proud to be the recipient of this award, it’s testament to the creativity and hard work of the team here at Beattie.
“The Mummymoon campaign not only secured widespread media coverage and social media engagement, it generated strong sales of the package across our client’s portfolio. It’s a great achievement and picking up the award is a wonderful boost for our team.”
The Hotel Marketing Association (HMA) judges said: “Beattie’s creative approach was not only the best, but executed with the most modest budget.
“The campaign was well executed from a pure PR campaign point of view, but was also able to lead into a wider content marketing strategy, to support social media, leisure package sales and gift voucher sales.”
