Beattie, the creative communications group, is to set up a digital team in Edinburgh creating six new jobs.

“Until now we have exclusively had a PR team operating in Edinburgh,” explained Laurna Woods, group managing director of Beattie.

“However, we have won so much business from new and existing clients that we are setting up a digital team in the city.

“Our specialist Only Digital team requires search marketers, content creators and website developers.

“Business is booming across all our brands as clients turn to us more and more for integrated communications embracing PR, digital, social and creative services.

“What’s also encouraging is that we are winning a great deal of international business which now accounts for 20% of our £15m group turnover.”

The new jobs are being created as part of pledge to create 30 new job across the UK in celebration of Beattie’s 30th birthday. So far this year, 17 new faces have joined the business.

Including Edinburgh, Beattie has eight offices in the UK including Glasgow, Falkirk, London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.

Recent new client wins include the Discovery Channel, San Jose Tourist Board, Westfield and Dairy Crest.
