Gordon Beattie, founder of Beattie, the integrated communications agency, today welcomed the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the EU.

The agreement will result in the abolition of taxes on 98% of exported goods and services and provide a platform for Britain to establish its own trade deal when it leaves the EU.

Beattie Group opted to open in Canada following Britain’s decision to exit the European Union.

The company has now established Beattie Tartan in Canada with offices in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria.

“It has proved to be a wise decision as business is booming in Canada with companies gearing up to do a lot more business in Europe,” said Gordon Beattie.

“We will double our Canadian revenues this year as we are perfectly positioned to assist Canadian companies to do more and more business in the UK and Europe.”

Headquartered in London, Beattie has 12 offices in the UK and Ireland and specialist teams serving 12 industry sectors including health, retail, travel and technology.

Other boutiques within the group include education specialists 11ten, Only Digital and Only Crisis.
