FILM MAKERS WANTED
Wednesday, 08 May 2019
Beattie Communications is to increase the size of its in-house film unit by recruiting two apprentice videographers.
“We’re on the lookout for hard working and highly creative film graduates to join our fast-growing team. They will be based in Scotland but will operate across the UK,” said operations director Elspeth Brown.
“Our film unit started out serving our existing PR and marketing clients but I’m delighted to say we’re now getting standalone commissions because of the standard of our work.
“I would urge anyone who’s interested to submit their showreels quickly as we had more than 50 applications for a videographer position we advertised three months ago.”
Candidates who make it through to the final shortlist will be invited to undertake an assignment that will be assessed by film maker Guy Thomson.
He said: “I’ll be looking for talented graduates who can film and edit their own content while working fast and under pressure.
“Much of the work we undertake at Beattie Communications requires a quick turnaround, so speed as well as camera and editing competency will be of the essence.”
Young videographers interested in applying for a job should contact Elspeth Brown in the first instance.
