Bear Hunting Bridges
Thursday, 23 October 2008
There are bears hiding in The Bridges shopping centre this half term, giving little shoppers the chance to track them down and win great prizes.
On Wednesday 29th October, children can put their tracking skills to the test as they hunt for Bears hiding in the centre's many shops. Noting down where they have spied the grizzlies, they must then find the life size Bernie Bear to complete the Bear hunt.
Entries must be submitted before the shops close on the 29th and the first twenty correct entries drawn out of a hat the following day will win a copy of Michael Rosen's popular book, 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'.
Winner of the Smarties prize in 1989, 'We're going on a Bear Hunt' is a timeless classic enjoyed by children and adults of all ages. Follow the family's excitement as they wade through the grass, splash through the river and squelch through the mud in search of the bear. A big surprise awaits them all in the cave on the other side of the dark forest.
The competition aims to create awareness of the Little Shopper scheme, which helps children stay safe whilst shopping with their families using identity bracelets. Contact information for the child's parents is placed on the bracelet in the event of them becoming parted from their family while shopping.
To take part in The Bridges Bear hunt, please ask customer services for an entry form.
