Beattie, the integrated communications agency, has launched a wellness programme, which kicks off this week across its 16 offices in the UK, Ireland and Canada.

Designed to help the 120-strong team take charge of their health and wellbeing in the workplace and beyond, Beattie Wellness Week has the support of media medic Dr Sarah Jarvis, registered dietician Helen Bond, and wellbeing coach Charlene Hutsebaut.

MD Jacquie Boyd-Coleman said: “We firmly believe a successful business has a happy, healthy workforce at its core, which is why we want to encourage our team to take even better care of themselves.

“We hope everyone will be inspired by the programme and, above all, enjoy it. It’s designed to be fun so that our people want to get involved for the long-term, not just a week.”

For staff members like Account Director Kenny Angove, Wellness Week was a chance to encourage more colleagues to join him in the Beattie Beats running club, which he formed last year.

He produced a tongue-in-cheek video to promote the club.

During Wellness Week, staff will be invited to take part in early morning mindfulness sessions, yoga, running and – as a gentler way to relax – colouring-in sessions. Healthy breakfasts, as recommended by Helen Bond, are being provided for each office while some are swapping the traditional Thursday ‘wine time’ for smoothie making sessions.

Wellness coach Charlene Hutsebaut said: “I was invited to deliver a workshop to the entire Beattie team at a recent conference in order to get them thinking about their health. The positive response was overwhelming and I’m delighted to see so many people getting involved.”
