Community groups across the country are being encouraged to apply for a Scotland-wide community bursary scheme.

Property management company Ross and Liddell is offering grants of up to £500 to community organisations that make a vital difference in their local area by supporting individuals and families, and providing information and advice.

Since the bursary scheme launched in 2011, the firm has delivered awarded over £55,000 to more than 130 groups across the country.

More than £15,000 was awarded to groups across Scotland in the 2016/2017 funding scheme.

Irene Devenny, managing director at Ross and Liddell, said: “As a property management company with clients the length and breadth of the country, it’s so important for Ross and Liddell to play an active role in the communities it serves.

“To date, we have provided support to more than 130 groups across Scotland and we continue to be overwhelmed by the interest in the community bursary scheme. The funding has a very positive impact on groups and their communities, and we love to hear feedback from organisations on how the funding has helped change lives.

“As we launch this year’s bursary, I would encourage everyone involved with community groups and organisations to apply. We are looking forward to supporting more community groups over the coming year."

Ross and Liddell has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.
