Dancers and dance fans from across Scotland are being invited to get involved in a day-long flurry of free activity in and around St. Enoch ahead of the 10th UDO World Street Dance Championships, which will land in the city’s SECC at the end of the month.

With Glasgow fast becoming the global home of street dance, St. Enoch Square and Centre will be transformed into a hip-hop style battle ground on Thursday, 6th August, as part of a unique street dance event in the city.

Not just for street dance enthusiasts; locals, friends and families with an interest in dance will have the chance to witness a host of performances throughout the day and meet a number of exciting acts including famous Scottish boy band Rewind.

The pop-up UDO qualifier will see passers-by given the chance to win Dance Show LIVE! tickets, prizes from stores including St. Enoch Centre, H&M and Tesco, meet and greets with stars such as Jake Quickenden, and UDO-branded hoodies and t-shirts.

The free event is set to give the people of Glasgow a flavour of what will be on offer when the street dance extravaganza Dance Show LIVE! comes to Glasgow on Sunday, 30th August. This event will feature a packed programme of workshops, industry master-classes and celebrity performances across a variety of dance genres.
