easyHotel Bounces into Birmingham
Monday, 06 March 2017
easyHotel, the owner, developer, operator and franchisor of ‘super budget’ branded hotels opened its first property in Birmingham with a bounce. Located just a short walk from Birmingham New Street Station, the new hotel celebrated opening its doors with a space hopper race to highlight just how close it is to the train station.
The hotel is the first of four new easyHotels opening this year and will create 20 jobs.
Located in the grade II listed Rosebury Building on John Bright Street, the building was originally used as a motor show room for Heron Motors and is full of character.
Sitting above the popular Caribbean restaurant, Turtle Bay, the 86-room hotel is perfectly located for business and leisure visitors to the city. With easy access to Grand Central and the Bullring shopping centres, the city’s exciting attractions and top notch bars and restaurants, easyHotel Birmingham provides unbeatable value with rooms starting from £19.99 a night.
Guy Parsons, easyHotel’s Chief Executive Officer said: “The opening of easyHotel Birmingham marks an exciting time for the brand. We are expanding rapidly both in the UK and across Europe and I’m delighted that Birmingham is the first city to open this year.
He goes onto say: Birmingham is a vibrant city with a rich history and so much to see and do. Along with its six universities and internationally reputed arts scene, Birmingham is also the UK’s fourth largest tourist destination. We are confident that easyHotel will appeal to business customers and leisure visitors alike and look forward to building our brand presence in the city.*
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham said: “Tourism is an incredibly important industry for Birmingham. We attract 38 million visitors a year, worth £6.2billion. With our beautiful network of canals, our famous Balti Triangle, world class museums, galleries and concert venues, it’s little wonder we are so popular with international visitors as well as those from the UK.
He went onto say: It is therefore of paramount importance we provide our visitors with the best hotels, offering fantastic value for money and consistent high quality. I am delighted to welcome easyHotel to Birmingham, and I know they will serve our visitors well.”
easyHotel will open in Amsterdam, Liverpool and Manchester later this year.
