Christmas has officially arrived at Restoration Yard, with the first of its festive events kicking off this week.
Keen shoppers can escape the Christmas rush in Edinburgh city centre at an exclusive one-off evening of luxurious retail therapy in the tranquil setting of Dalkeith Country Park on Thursday 30th November.
From 5pm-8pm, Restoration Yard will offer a festive 10 per cent discount on purchases. There will also be a gift-wrapping service and hamper station where staff will help customers build personalised luxury food and drink hampers.
Restoration Café will also be on hand to offer tasters of its festive menu, which is available for bookings throughout December.
Victoria Gray, Store Manager at Restoration Yard, said: “We’re really getting into the Christmas spirit and looking forward to welcoming customers to our shopping event. It’s the perfect opportunity to escape the busy streets of Edinburgh City Centre and tick some items off the Christmas list in a more relaxed setting.
“Our Autumn/Winter collection and gift range is gorgeous and, thanks to the range of suppliers we work with and our own product designers, customers can be sure to find perfect gifts for their loved ones. We’ll even wrap them while they enjoy a few tempting tasters of Restoration Café’s festive lunch menu.”
Visitors will even be able to purchase their Christmas trees during weekends from 2nd December, and then daily from 16th December until Christmas Eve. The range of 5ft, 6ft and 7ft trees starts from £39.99.
And the festive fun continues with the chance to Meet the Makers at a special Christmas-themed event on Sunday 3rd December from 12 noon until 4pm.
Local suppliers will put on an impressive spread of moreish artisan food and drink tasters for customers to sample. There will also be the chance to learn more about exactly what goes into the making of the luxury food and drink that fills the shelves of Restoration Yard’s food hall.
The tempting line-up for the day includes a return visit from Giacopazzi’s Ice Cream, who made an appearance at the last Meet the Makers event. They’ll be joined by Old Curiosity Distillery who will showcase various gins, L’Art du Vin wines and Spice Pot with an array of spice mixes – among others.
Visitors will also be able to sample Edinburgh House shortbread, as well as Restoration Yard’s very own chutneys and jams.
She continued: “Our ‘Meet the Makers’ events throughout the year have been a great success, and we’re thrilled to hold yet another – this time with a very merry twist. Food is such an important part of Christmas, and we’ll be bringing visitors some of the best festive fare from some of Scotland’s most talented and innovative food and drink producers.”
Restoration Yard’s Christmas Shopping evening takes place from 5pm until 8pm on Thursday 30th November. The 10 per cent discount on purchases does not apply to books, beauty and alcohol products.
