Families looking for outdoor activities with a difference can try their hand at foraging.
Dalkeith Country Park is hosting a special Family Foraging event, designed for both youngsters and adults.
The session, which takes place on Saturday 9th June at 2pm, will teach participants about some of the plants found within the Park which can be used in cookery and to alleviate certain ailments.
Julia Duncan, Countryside Ranger at Dalkeith Country Park, said: “Our Family Foraging event offers a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together in the great outdoors.
“Foraging has become a very popular activity over the past few years and our session will take a closer look at the various uses for some of our plants – from cookery to remedies for certain ailments.”
Booking by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org is essential and the session costs £3 per person. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
