Scotland’s Theme Park is a must-visit destination this summer. Be prepared to be amazed at this year’s entertainment programme, designed to be the perfect holiday activities for kids to keep them busy this summer.

The fantastic Starcast entertainment programme is back, bigger and better, for 2017.

Taking place daily between 11am and 6pm, the #funtastical programme includes daytime fun with Starcast Show Time at the Family Restaurant, with performances that are bound to get you up on your feet; and Fun Time at the Starcast Fun Stage, where mini Starcast members will get the chance to learn new skills.

After a fun-filled day in the theme park with more than 40 rides and attractions to enjoy, grown-ups can sit back and relax as the team entertains the kids in the Family Restaurant with games, a disco, family prize bingo and lots more.

Pirate fans can check out the High Diving Pirates’ spectacular return to M&D’s with a brand new show. The daring pirates have been perfecting their stunts and diving skills to bring a brand new thrilling display to Scotland’s Theme Park.

The pirates will be performing 80ft high acrobatics to wow the crowds, three times a day. The swash-buckling show hits the stage at 1pm, 2.30pm & 4pm every day with each showing providing 25 minutes of thrills, spills and stunts.

Another pirate favourite, Devil’s Island Adventure Golf offers heaps of family fun. Play over water, through sunken bridges and into caves, before finishing on the Pirate’s Galleon for your chance to win exciting prizes.

Make sure you check out M&D’s brand new rides and food outlets for 2017. Musik Express and Dancing Galleons are the newest additions to the iconic collection of family friendly rides which includes the Big Wheel, Dodgems, the Flying Carpet and the Wave Swinger.

Be sure to take a ride on them all this summer, as ride all day wristbands are now only £10 until 31 August, so families can save up to £9.45 per person.

While Big Al’s Deli and Big Al’s Grill Guru join the list of food outlets serving up delicious dishes at M&D’s. With mouth-watering burgers, hot dogs and light bites, there’s something to please everyone.

M&D’s is also home to Amazonia, Scotland’s only indoor tropical rainforest. Amazonia houses over 70 different species including Tarantulas, Pythons, and Marmoset Monkeys, plus loads of creepy crawlies. There is a host of activities on every day at Amazonia including feeding sessions, talks, and animal handling sessions, allowing kids, and adults, to get to know the animals a little bit better.

For those rainy days, families can take advantage of one of Lanarkshire’s biggest soft play arenas, Krazy Congo. Recently refurbished, children can enjoy the numerous chutes, trampolines and ball pits, while adults can treat themselves to coffee and cake from Guiseppe’s Coffee Shop.

Scotland’s first ‘glow in the dark’ bowling alley is another fantastic indoor activity, with 16 lanes, air hockey and an array of arcade games.
