Land Securities has secured a deal to bring Home Bargains to St Johns Shopping Centre in the heart of Liverpool.
The value retailer is taking 15,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease and is set to open its doors 2011.
This latest deal follows the announcement that Aldi will open in autumn 2010 in the former 14,000 sq ft Woolworth's unit in the St Johns Shopping Centre.
Land Securities has also invested in its adjacent Clayton Square Shopping Centre, attracting leading family brands Mothercare, the Early Learning Centre and Clas Ohlson on a 10-year lease.
James Larmuth, portfolio manager from Land Securities, says: "These deals are great news for Liverpool. Securing five deals including the return of Mothercare to the high street and the arrival of Clas Ohlson highlights Land Securities' ability to deliver the right location and retail offer in Liverpool.
"Clas Ohlson is trading phenomenally well since its arrival in Clayton Square which is having a positive impact across all our retailers."
St John's is the largest covered shopping centre in Liverpool City Centre providing 360,000 sq ft of retail space and is home to more than 100 retailers attracting in excess of 12.5 million in footfall each year.
