Iphone Hotel Bookings Launched For First Time
Friday, 06 November 2009
UK tourists, holiday-makers and business travellers will be able to book hotel rooms direct from their iPhone for the first time, thanks to a new application developed by the specialist travel technology company Inventive IT.
The brand new iRooms application, which has been created by Inventive IT in partnership with LateRooms.com, not only enables customers to book hotel rooms via their iphone, but also allows them to search for free rooms in specific areas, make lists of favourite destinations, and store booking confirmation details.
John Charnock, managing director of Inventive IT, explained: "Booking via the application is really quick and easy, and it's also free. People looking for a hotel can simply type in the location of their choice, or use the GPS function on their phone to discover the nearest available property to their location.
"The booking is confirmed immediately by the hotel via the application and confirmation details are sent directly to your phone for presentation on arrival. The whole process has been designed to make finding and booking hotel rooms quicker and easier for travellers, tourists and business people looking for somewhere to stay. There are no booking fees and hotels simply take payment when visitors check out."
Inventive IT specialises in developing bespoke software systems for travel companies covering everything from data warehousing and revenue management to building websites and social networking applications.
The iRooms application is available now from the iTunes store at:http://bit.ly/4oOxY2.
