Livi News Tops Agenda Centre
Thursday, 20 November 2008
Independently owned newsagent, Livi News, is top of the daily shopping agenda since opening at The Centre, 94 Almondvale South, Livingston.
Located in Almondvale Place within The Centre, the 469 sq ft unit began business in October, immediately prior to the launch of the new £130m extension, Elements Square.
The unit is conveniently located in a main thoroughfare and offers customers a whole host of daily essentials, including newspapers, magazines and confectionery.
Livi News, owned by the Glasgow-based businessman Tariq Akram, has agreed to a lease for a 15-year term. It is his second newsagent venture in Scotland, launching his first at Glasgow Fort in 2004.
Alison Niven, Centre Director for Livingston, said: "I'm delighted that we've attracted this independent newsagent to The Centre and I'm sure that it will be a popular stop with shoppers.
"It also shows that our shopping destination not only pulls in the big brand names but is also able to attract smaller, independent operations."
