London hotels launch outdoor pop-ups perfect for foodies

Tuesday, 04 June 2019

Two of Apex Hotels’ London properties are getting into the summer spirit with the launch of tempting alfresco dining options.

Apex Temple Court Hotel and Apex City of London are both offering outdoor pop-ups perfect for lazy summer evenings, with fabulous food and flowing drinks.

Following its successful debut last summer, the popular BRGR+BUBBLES returns to the courtyard at Apex Temple Court Hotel, which is located just off the capital’s Fleet Street.

From Thursday 6th June until the end of September, the bar and BBQ pop-up will give London locals and hotel guests alike the chance to tuck into tasty burgers, posh-dogs, craft beers and bubbles whilst (hopefully) soaking up some sun in chilled surroundings.

Meanwhile, The Lampery at Apex City of London Hotel has teamed up with Barentsz gin to bring a botanical experience to the streets of the capital. Sip on stunning gin cocktails over a sumptuous gin-infused afternoon tea whilst watching the world go by.

And, most importantly, visitors to both pop-ups won’t miss out on any of the sporting action synonymous with summer. Diners can cheer on Women’s World Cup favourites, England, or take in every game, set and match across Wimbledon.

Karl Mitchell, General Manager of Apex Temple Court Hotel, said: “BRGR+BUBBLES proved really popular last year, with the perfect mix of tasty BBQ foods, carefully selected drinks and relaxed surroundings – so we couldn’t wait to bring it back to the hotel courtyard this year.

“It’s the perfect way to make the most of time off during the summer holidays or to unwind and enjoy the last of the sunshine with friends after a busy day at work. There’s no need to book, so it really is the perfect pop-up.”

Brian Tapson, General Manager of Apex City of London Hotel, said: “Summer in London is the perfect time to enjoy some wonderful outdoor dining. We’re thrilled to have partnered with Barentsz gin to offer a fantastic alfresco experience including moreish cocktails and a gin-infused afternoon tea that we firmly believe is one of the best in the city.

“Coupled with big screen entertainment and, fingers crossed, plenty of sunshine we’re confident we’ll have a summer hit on our hands.”
