Major Refurbishment Means Sunderland Store Is Top Shops
Wednesday, 20 July 2011
Leading phone retailer The Carphone Warehouse has carried out an extensive refurbishment within its Bridges shopping centre store.
It is now a new 'wireless world' concept store meaning 80 per cent of all phones on display are live and interactive. This allows Sunderland shoppers, for the first time ever, to test the functionality of the handsets before making a purchase decision.
The Carphone Warehouse team has also received a make-over and will now be easily spotted in brand new uniforms.
The Sunderland-based store not only boasts tech-savvy employees and products, but is also home to a new Geek Squad Agent. The agent will provide shoppers with technical support by helping to set up email connectivity, download apps and give advice on how to use laptops and tablets.
The Geek Squad Agent will also provide further support once customers have left the shop, as home visits can be arranged for those having technical difficulties or dilemmas.
The Carphone Warehouse store manager, Jane Simkin, comments: "We are thrilled with our refurbished store, especially as it means we can introduce and demonstrate the great offers we have to ensure we are recommending the right products to suit our customers' needs."
"Our new live display phones will really help people understand the functionality of our products which should help to educate them in their choice of mobile. The addition of our Geek Squad Agent is an additional USP for the store which will provide all our customers with peace of mind and top technical support."
Andy Bradley, centre director of the Bridges, adds: "The store refit looks really smart and I'm sure the Bridges shoppers will benefit greatly from the additional services and the interactive approach The Carphone Warehouse now proudly offers its customers."
The Carphone Warehouse is located on Market Street Mall, opposite Clinton Cards within the Bridges.
