New Year New Faces Nantwich Solicitors

Monday, 14 February 2011

Nantwich solicitors, The Dental Law Partnership, have started the New Year with a bang, appointing a duo of new recruits and awarding a key promotion.

David Shaw has been appointed as a paralegal after his predecessor; Christina Bateman was given a sought-after training contract, and now becomes a trainee solicitor with the firm.

Christina, from Nantwich, said: "Training contracts are becoming very rare at the moment so to be able to further my training with a firm as renowned in its sector as DLP is great.

"We are the only firm in the country that specialises in dental negligence and, while it is very complex at times, it is terrifically rewarding to be able to help those who have suffered terrible treatment in the past."

David, from Stoke, added: "Getting into the legal profession has become harder and harder during the recession and, even now, competition is still fierce.

"Getting any job is hard enough, so to be able to come to a market leader in such an interesting field of law, and so early in my career, is very exciting."

The Dental Law Partnership, which specialises in representing patients in dental negligence cases, has also appointed Claire Goostrey as an additional legal cashier.

Claire, from Crewe, said: "After 27 years working for H M Revenue and Customs, I was looking for a new start which would be as interesting, rewarding and would give me a fresh challenge.

"As a fascinating and growing local business, I'm sure the Dental Law Partnership will do all three and I'm really excited about turning over a new page in my career."

Chris Dean, joint managing director, said: "The past year has been very exciting for us, celebrating our 10th anniversary and having two new associate solicitors qualify with us, and in some ways these latest appointments are just a continuation of that.

"Our success is testament to the hard work and dedication of the fantastic team we have here in Nantwich, and also at our sister office in Elstree, and I'm sure our new recruits will be a great addition for us."

DLP was founded by legally qualified dentists, Greg Waldron and David Corless-Smith, in August 2000 and now acts on behalf of the majority of claimants in negligence cases against dentists in England and Wales.

Editors Notes

The Dental Law Partnership (DLP) was established on 1st August 2000 by former dentists David Corless-Smith and Greg Waldron.

DLP is currently the only firm of solicitors with a team of in-house dental experts to advise its legal department on the specifics of each case. The team assesses all aspects of the patient's history, whether or not the dentist followed procedures correctly and if the case should be pursued further.

To date, it has acted on behalf of more than 3,000 people in England and Wales in respect of dentists failing to provide their patients with adequate care.

DLP is a member of the Law Society and is a Lexcel-accredited practice.  DLP provides clients with a range of funding options with the majority of cases being run on a conditional fee agreement.
