Newton Lands Spot Sunday Times Best Companies List
Tuesday, 01 March 2011
The UK's leading operational improvement specialist has been named as one of the Sunday Times Best Companies to work for 2011.
Newton Europe was announced at number 15 on the coveted list of Britain's top employers after entering for the first time.
The consultancy received a three-star Best Companies Index (BCI) score - awarded to only 12 new entrants across all four categories.
A positive response rate more than 20 per cent above average was recorded, highlighting personal growth as a key value for staff.
Growing 40 per cent year on year, the Oxford-based firm has carved an impressive track record with businesses identifying cost, delivery and quality performance limiting issues and designing practical solutions that rapidly generate measurable, sustainable financial returns.
Newton was established in 2001 by founding directors Andrew Hawes, Kevin Jones and Tom Wedgewood.
A decade later it employs more than 70 staff and works across the UK, Europe and the US.
Operating across a diverse range of sectors including retail, healthcare, defence and aerospace, Newton has built up a portfolio of some of the most recognised names in these industries including Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Nissan, Kerry Foods, British Airways and several NHS Trusts.
James Frost, director at Newton who collected the award, said: "Our continued growth is rooted firmly in the quality of our staff and ensuring they are motivated is fundamental to the success of our business.
A hands-on approach designed to achieve significant results is the essence of the service we provide.
"To achieve recognition at this level is for us not only a fantastic reflection of our investment in our staff, who recognised development as a key value in their responses, but also a positive indication to clients that our team is passionate about delivering exceptional results."
