Ppi Scandal Leads To Rapid Growth For Manchester Claims Management
Wednesday, 27 July 2011
The controversy over banks' mis-selling of payment protection insurance has led to a boom for Manchester-based claims management specialist, Randall and Vickers.
So much so that the company has taken on seven new staff, plans to recruit a further 15 in the next 12 months, and is having to relocate from its current home in the Northern Quarter to larger premises in Ancoats.
Founder and director, Michael Pilgrim, said: "Obviously there has been a lot written about payment protection insurance recently, and it seems that for many people, they hadn't even been aware they had taken out policies until they read about the mis-selling in the papers.
"PPI is only one string to our bow, but we have been growing very quickly for the past few years and are becoming established as one of the best specialists in a very crowded market.
"We are already looking for three more consultants and office staff to bring on board in the coming months as we grow towards having a team of 40 or more in a year's time."
Randall & Vickers, which had previously been based on Bradley Street, currently employs 24 in its new home in the Flint Glassworks, Ancoats.
Notes to editors

- All fees are clear and transparent and consumers pay nothing unless and until their money and/or compensation is recovered
- They use their years of experience to navigate the sometimes-complicated claims process to ensure their customers are more likely to win than had they handled their claims themselves
- Established in 2008, the company now employs 20 people based largely in its office in Manchester city centre or through a small team of homeworkers
