Restoration Café has unveiled a brand new menu including an expanded breakfast offering and scrumptious dessert menu.
The Café, which is set within the stunning surroundings of Dalkeith Country Park, sources as much of its produce locally as it can, including from the Park’s very own herb garden.
The menu, created by new head chef, Michael Scotford, comprises a mix of satisfying and wholesome summer dishes as well as indulgent treats.
Gillian Heath, restaurant manager at Restoration Café, said: “Our new menu features lots of seasonal treats and was developed by our talented head chef to appeal to a wide variety of palettes – from those looking for a light dish to something more extravagant.
“The inspiration behind the menu was looking at ways to incorporate quality wholesome food and key superfoods such as salmon, beetroot and garlic to create fresh and vibrant dishes.
“Located within Dalkeith Country Park, diners can enjoy our fantastic new menu while taking in the beautiful sights of the Park and River Esk.”
Highlights from the breakfast menu, which is served from 9.30am onwards, include smashed avocado with spring onions, smoked paprika, tomatoes and lime juice on toasted sourdough bread, as well as a choice of sweet or savoury waffles, served with either Restoration Yard herb cream cheese and smoked salmon or honey and fresh berries.
The lunch menu, served from 12noon, includes light bites and delicious salads, as well as pulled pork shoulder and belly coated in Restoration Yard’s tangy BBQ sauce and served on a pretzel bun with a spicy veg and chilli salad and hand cut chunky chips.
For something sweet, diners can tuck into summer pudding with pistachio ice cream, the RY sundae or chocolate delice with blood orange sorbet.
