Thursday, 12 July 2012
Local developer Ackroyd and Abbott has sold Unit 4a Ashroyd Business Park to Storefirst Ltd, for its first Yorkshire facility.
The 50,000sq ft unit was speculatively developed as part of Phase 1 of the development, and has been sold for £2.2m.
Robert Rusling, of Ackroyd and Abbott, said; "We are delighted to have completed the sale of this unit and our full attention and focus can now be on the remainder of the Park where there is capacity for additional units up to 200,000sq ft."
Rob Oliver, director of GVA who negotiated the sale, said; "The unit is well situated in an elevated position close to the Dearne Valley Link Road and close to the M1 Junction 36.
"It was developed to shell specification and 10m high, which will allow Storefirst to design a very efficient internal fit out."
Storefirst was represented by Trevor Dawson. GVA and Crossland Otter Hunt are agents on the scheme.
