Leading UK property consultant GVA has announced a number of senior promotions in its Leeds office.

Claire Paraskeva, director within the National Rating Department, has been promoted to senior director, in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the Company.

Having joined GVA 15 years ago as a surveyor, Claire has become an invaluable member of the team and is National Lead Director to GVA's Emergency Services clients saving them in excess of £31million in Business Rates to date. She also specialises in NHS Sector Business Rates initiatives and is currently acting on behalf of 21 NHS Trusts across the Region.

Claire says: "GVA has a strong reputation for delivering a full range of property consultancy services, locally, nationally and globally. My aim is to continue to grow the National Rating Department to ensure we keep making positive strides in creating an even greater presence in the region."

Iain McPhail, who has worked within GVA's National Markets Team for more than five years, has been promoted to associate.

Similarly, Iain joined as a surveyor and has advanced his career within GVA. He was instrumental in the team's recent success where it celebrated transacting more than 1.8 million sq ft of lettings, sales and acquisitions during the past year making them one of the most active Agency teams in the region.

Paul Manning, regional senior director at GVA's Leeds office, says: "Both Claire and Iain are very valued members of our Leeds Team and their promotions go a long way to demonstrate the opportunity for career progression within GVA.

"We continually deliver only the highest standard of professional advisory services to our clients and with key players like Claire and Iain at our client's disposal we will continue to uphold and enhance our reputation across Yorkshire."

Despite the challenging trading environment, there are signs that the market is improving and GVA has reported an increasing number of deals and new instructions won from their Leeds office.
