Top Award For Beattie Communications Cipr Awards

Beattie Communications has scooped a top accolade at this year's prestigious CIPR PRide Awards.
The company beat off stiff competition to take gold in the Corporate Responsibility category for an innovative campaign to support Specsavers' 'donation day' in aid of eyecare charity, Vision Aid Overseas.
Specsavers stores across Scotland took part in the initiative by opening on a Sunday - not a normal trading day for many - and donating their takings to VAO. Staff gave up their free time and a day's wages to support the campaign, with some stores making an additional director's donation of £1k. Customers were also invited to bring their unwanted glasses into their local Specsavers store.
The one-day event raised around £80k for VAO and thousands of pairs of glasses were also donated by customers.
The Beattie team supported the activity by raising awareness of Specsavers support for VAO in advance of the donation day, promoting the important work undertaken by VAO and helping drive customers to their local store. A broad spread of coverage was achieved across national, regional and local press, including a double page spread about the campaign in the Daily Record.

The CIPR PRide awards are an annual event celebrating the best of Scottish public relations.
