Uks First Couple Top Poll Dull Celebrities

Monday, 27 April 2009

Budget-bashed PM Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah have topped a poll of the UK's dullest celebrity couples.

The online survey, carried out by Simple Daily Radiance, asked 1,000 people in the UK to list the dreariest celeb duos. Interestingly, Conservative leader David Cameron and his stylish wife Samantha were named the second most radiant couple, narrowly missing out to of-the-moment stars, Cheryl and Ashley Cole.

Notoriously low key couple Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin also made the top five dullest pairs, ahead of Kerry Katona and on-off husband Mark Croft, Katie Price and Peter Andre and WAG Alex Curran and Steven Gerrard.

Fellow WAGs Coleen Rooney and Victoria Beckham faired better and were listed with their other halves amongst the top five most radiant couples in the UK.

Dullest Celebrity Couple

Most Radiant Celebrity Couple

1. Gordon & Sarah Brown (68%)

1. Cheryl & Ashley Cole (42%)

2. Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin (15%)

2. David & Samantha Cameron (34%)

3. Kerry Katona & Mark Croft (10%)

3. Coleen & Wayne Rooney (15%)

4. Katie Price & Peter Andre (5%)

4. David & Victoria Beckham (6%)

5. Alex Curran & Steven Gerrard (2%)

5. Tess Daly & Vernon Kay (3%)

Simple senior brand manager, Rachel Snary, says: 'Gordon and Sarah both have very pale complexions, not helped by their hectic work commitments, frequent travel, and of course the stress of running the country.

'By contrast, David Cameron  is more active especially when he is out on his bike, so it goes to show how much your lifestyle can affect how radiant your skin looks at any age.'

The lack-lustre couples could take a few tips from the Simple Daily Radiance skincare range, which helps revitalise a dull appearance with the goodness of mango extract and light reflecting particles. The result is a visibly brighter and more youthful appearance for all skin types - even for the most washed-out celebrity duos.
