Prestwick bar and restaurant Elliots has once again topped the list as best performing venue in Buzzworks Holdings pro-social bonus scheme, providing a financial boost to charity.

The unique quarterly initiative, now in its third round, sees each of Buzzworks ten venues scored at the end of every month based on various factors including sales, customer service and cleanliness. The top four performers at the end of the quarter are then awarded a share of £1,000 to gift to any registered charity of their choice.

The team from Elliots ranked first place for the second quarter in a row and once again chose to donate their £500 to Alzheimer Scotland. After another competitive quarter, Treehouse in Ayr, Lido in Prestwick and The Long House in Kilmarnock were crowned second, third and fourth place.

Treehouse chose South Ayrshire Foodbank as the beneficiary for its £250, Lido picked Aberlour Children’s Charity for its £150 and Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland were presented with £100 from The Long House.

Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: “Our pro-social bonus scheme is our way of giving back and rewarding the hard work and dedication of our employees. By offering the choice of charity to the individual winning venues this ensures our people and the communities we work in come first.

“Our bonus scheme instils healthy competition across the portfolio with the added benefit of financial support for their chosen charities.

“Congratulations to all our winning venues for round three and a special well done to the team from Elliots who clinched first place for a second quarter running.”
